Erik Saar, Ph.D. is available to speak at your event. He is
the owner of Jasfin Consulting and an expert in leadership, motivation and peak performance. Dr. Saar has worked with government and commercial clients to train leaders, conduct research, and provide customized solutions.
Erik helps organizations improve performance by creating connected cultures and leaders. Erik has researched human motivation and organizational culture for over twenty years. His interest in these topics was surprisingly peaked during his time working in intelligence and counterterrorism. Saar worked in roles that required he develop an in-depth understanding of how and why terrorist groups like Al Qaeda were able to recruit new members. As he studied the motivations and organizational dynamics of terrorist groups, he came to see that these groups take advantage of universal principles that apply to all organizations. Erik has develop a keynote speech about his findings titled: The ConneX Factor: Al Qaeda's Competitive Advantage That Can Help Businesses, Teams and Individuals Succeed.
Erik also conducts customized leadership training workshops designed to help leaders develop strategies to improve team dynamics. These one or two day workshops are hands-on sessions where we train leaders in methods to improve employee engagement and motivation. The results of Dr. Saar's training include a healthier workplace environment, better employee retention, increased employee productivity, and improved profitability.
Erik is a veteran of the United States Army and has a B.S. in Marketing from King's College. In the Army he served as an Intelligence Analyst and Arabic Linguist. Erik earned his Master's degree from George Mason University and completed his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Alvernia University in Reading, Pa. In addition to his speaking responsibilities and role at Jasfin Consulting, Erik is an instructor in the Business and Organizational Leadership program at Penn State University and he is an adjunct instructor at the American Military University School of Global Security Studies.
